Domaine des Lambrays, Morey-Saint-Denis
Domaine des Lambrays is mainly known for its Clos des Lambrays which is one of the 5 Grands Crus of Morey St. Denis with Clos de Tart, Clos de la Roche, Clos St. Denis and Bonnes Mares (Bonne Mares being split between Chambolle-Musigny, which has the main share and Morey-St-Denis).
The walls of Clos des Lambrays were erected by Cistercian monks in 1365.
Nowadays, 8.84 hectares of the clos are owned by Domaine des Lambrays (Property of LVMH since April 2014) and 0.02 hectare are owned by Domaine Taupenot-Merme. Clos des Lambrays is almost a Monopole.
Domaine des Lambrays also produces Morey 1er Cru Les Loups and Morey-Saint-Denis Village.
As of 2019 Domaine des Lambrays commits to a fully organic approach to viticulture.
Jacques Devauges, the new manager of Domaine des Lambrays who previously worked at Clos de Tart has conducted this radical change, and 2019 was his first vintage in full charge at the Domaine
