Château de Pitray arrives in Thailand

Château de Pitray, Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux appellation

The oldest family-owned estate in Bordeaux, Château Pitray spans 130 hectares, of which 60 are vineyards, 40 are forests, and 30 are meadows. Located in Gardegan, the château is 8 km from the village of Saint-Emilion. The family has owned it for over 600 years.

With the 2020 vintage, Jean de Boigne, the owner, began a collaboration with Nina Mitjavile as the new manager for the vineyard and cellar.

Nina is the daughter of Francois Mitjavile of Tertre Rôteboeuf in St.-Emilion. She has managed the Domaine de Cambes in Bourg for many years and also produces the outstanding character wine Roc de Cambes. The clear goal is to lead Château Pitray to the top of the Castillon appellation.
